Exam Management- A Different Outlook

Each day is a test. Some days you pass other days you fail but that doesn’t mean you don’t appear for it. You do, there is no other way round except facing it, either win or to lose. Sometimes it’s easy other times its hard, sometimes you cheat to pass other times you don’t feel like giving up on your morals and present utmost honesty even it means to fail but every time you end up giving whatever you know or how far you know. Now tests for life or tests on paper require management. A lot of management.  It is not time management, schedule preparation or stationary arrangement. There is something else that requires to be managed more than any of these petty things. Now the question that arises is what in the world can be more important than books and schedule at this crucial hour; simple – you. You need to be managed, prepared and organized to value the time, plan an unflawed schedule and set up expected ball-points and HBs’.  Exams are a reason to polish yourself, they lay a consequence to assess your capacities and skills and they give you a reason to celebrate, laugh and cry at the same time because you never score equal in every test, even if you want, you can’t.

So, the whole point of writing this blog is straight, I have an entire exam week laying ahead of me. Now technically, this is a story the week before you are reading this blog because I really am not so multitalented that I can mange Australopithecus and blogs at the same time. Anyways, let’s roll back to where we started off. Every body sees the phases of anxieties, late night pressures and sleepless eyes looking back at you from the mirror in the morning of the exam even when they didn’t shut them for once the night before. This is what we call as- Assessment Phase.  Now the twist in the plot is, for some these situations can be entirely opposite such as they’ll sleep like a baby that night, they’ll laugh and enjoy the notes rather than feeling the urge to thrown them across the room. To be precise, exams are like walk in the garden for some or at the same time others feel like hellbent, damned or hell bound; whatever you want to call it. Why is this difference? Is it because they prepare better timetable or use more complexed formulas to solve the same questions that others might want to skip or were such persons landed on this blue planet through a space craft rather than coming out of the labour room? Funny, we realise that nothing is different. Just a variation in executions and management of plans.

I am not going to give you the usual crap of how to magically turn yourself into all goody-two-shoes for a week when you face your exams instead, I’ll talk reality…I mean write reality. Frankly, every body feels the knot in the stomach just before question papers are distributed not matter what you say. It’s okay to feel nervous, it is not because you didn’t study well but because you are not over confident of your hard work. Once in a while we all feel like giving up and just fleeing to a distant island with anywhere door yet we don’t...not because you and me don’t have any Doremon in our lives but because deep down we are ready to fight. Expectations are burden not motivation at this hour, true. In fact, they are the reason you start searching for invisibility cloak on Amazon nonetheless neither such a thing exists nor you’ll have guts to escape that one chance to prove yourself better than before. Fear, stress and nervousness all is valid. You are human you are bound to feel all these emotions as well just like you feel anger, happiness or sorrow. So why treat them differently?

Facing a mathematics test or calculating relations in real life isn’t the same thing. Writing an essay in English is way too different than writing your own destiny. Yet you feel the same fear maybe a little higher in latter situation but you feel it and you embrace it. So, my dear readers look beyond the textbooks because these exams don’t only teach you the life cycle of frog or the principles of elections but they teach you to mange your emotions and learn from every test that life takes of you without a prior warning. Every dark night of distress will end in the sunrise of fortitude, you just need to make sure that you don’t lose hope when the night ends and the dawn breaks. Tests don’t come to perish you, they come to challenge you and the day you start accepting these challenges you will feel like a shooting star that has finally found its home. Be wisdom for yourself and become the truth of your reality, its life and it’s always a game for two.

Love,

Priyal🌟
